Scotland has some fantastic road trips and driving routes all mapped out for you… from the NE250 and the epic NC500 in the north (strains of the Proclaimers!…) to the SW400 in the south, there’s something to suit everyone’s tastes and available time. You will find stunning deserted beaches and quiet mountain passes, mirror lochs and dramatic moorland… there’s also welcoming pubs and restaurants, unique craft studios, and friendly locals in the charming small towns and villages on the way. Enjoy the local wildlife too - you are almost guaranteed to see highland cattle, red deer and Scottish Blackface sheep close up, along with seals and dolphins off the beaches and the keen eyed may well spot golden eagles, red kites or even the Loch Ness Monster!
